Also “Livin’ In The Sunlight, Lovin’ In The Moonlight” is one of the most memorable moments in the episode as we see SpongeBob make his first Krabby Patty, that whole scene is just really upbeat and cheery and I love it! Overall, “Help Wanted” is an episode that certainly didn’t need much help when it came to introducing us to some of the most iconic shows in animation history!
I find the animation in this pilot quite charming as it has a look to it that it’s a little rough but it doesn’t make it feel out of line with the rest of Season 1. SpongeBob is his happy and charming self, Patrick is also cheery but a bit clumsy, Squidward is annoyed as usual and Mr Krabs is just as money hungry as he’s always been. What I love about this episode is how it introduces each character perfectly and you immediately get to know them from the moment they are on screen. Kicking of our list we have the episode that started it all! “Help Wanted” is the first episode and the pilot to the series where we see Spongebob get his job at The Krusty Krab.
